We didn’t launch a company because we needed jobs. We launched it to solve a mystery.
Some of our favourite organizations and cities resorted to cold and confusing clichés, random strategies, inscrutable decisions. They “re-branded” every few years, looked and sounded like everyone else, chased fads, and wasted time and energy responding to crises.
Yet people in other organizations and cities acted, created, and communicated with confidence. They were focused. They were clear and disciplined, human and inviting.
Why? How?
